If not, then you can try 3rd party apps like zFont. It's actually a great app to change the font, make text Italics/Bold, etc. on Android devices.
Method 1: Using a zFont app
1. Install the zFont app from Google Playstore
2. Open it and scroll down till you find the Stylish section
3. Open it and check for any Italic or Bold font (you can refer to the given screenshot)
4. Now, select that font and Download it
5. Select the Set option, which will pop up in the window with a list of different devices
6. Select the appropriate device model OEM like Samsung or Moto, etc.
7. Select the Theme Font option and then follow the instructions
After that, just restart your device to apply all the changes.
Method 2: Using Dai characters
It is an Alternative method to the previous one. Here we'll just use the dai characters option in zFont.
1. Select the Support dai characters option(after step 6 of the previous method) and install the font
2. Now, head toward your Android settings and select Language and Region to Myanmar
3. Now, you will find the Support dai characters option under Display & Brightness, select and apply it
It will change your font with the selected font! You can change the Region back to your original.

Method 3: Using the Font Keyboard app
There is another way to make your texting experience much better by italicizing your text messages.
1. Install the Fkeyboard(FontBoard Keyboard) app
2. Open the Font Keyboard app and start the setup
3. Select the Enable Keyboard option and it will open the On-screen keyboard setting page
4. You've to toggle the 🔥FontBoard Keyboard option and go back Font Keyboard app
5. Now, select the Switch to Keyboard option and choose 🔥FontBoard Keyboard as the Input method(As shown in the picture)
6. Skip everything and you'll be on the app Dashboard
7. Select the Style that you want to use on the Font keyboard, We suggest you check a Cursive checkbox as it looks similar to Italics

Italicize Text/Font on Samsung phone!
If you've Samsung devices, then you're probably lucky in terms of day-to-day features.
Samsung offers tonnes of customizations like changing fonts and making them Bold/Italic inside the Default ONEUI settings itself.
Still, if you don't have that option on your Samsung device, then you can follow the same method.
Italicizing Samsung devices has the same method as explained earlier. You just need to select the Device model as Samsung.
Then, follow the given instructions, different OEMs have different steps to Italicize the Text.
Bold or Italicize text using the Android keyboard!
How to type in Italics on the keyboard? - Italicizing the text on an Android keyboard is quite hard to do.
You can't do it directly using the Android keyboard. It doesn't allow you to make text bold or italic.
Some Android applications support Italicizing or making text Bold using an Android keyboard. You can try these steps -
- Press and hold the Text and then select the More option
- Choose Bold, Italics, or Strikethrough options
You have to do it using other applications, either you can do it using the 3rd party keyboards or else use Word processing apps like MS Office Word mobile or Google Docs.

Different Android apps have different grammatical and typing features available for typing texts. Here we'll see each of them one by one.
Italicize text using Google Docs on Android
Italicizing the text used by Google Docs is one of the best ways to Italicize your text and use it anywhere you want.
You can use it on Social media like WhatsApp, Instagram, Facebook, and Even Text Messages.
Google's Messages and Apple's iMessage both apps support Italic and Bold text.
- Just open your Google Docs or any other app where you can use a keyboard
- Type any Keyword or text you want to Italicize
- Select that text or sentence
- Now, choose the Italics option from the Menu

Italicize or Bold text on the Gmail Android
app
The following steps are for Italicizing or Bold the text in Gmail.
1. Open the Gmail app and compose the mail
2. Type the message and Hold it for a few seconds, and you'll see the options like format, cut, copy, select all, etc.

Long press the Text until Text editing pops up and then select the Bold or Italic option(as shown in the picture) Italicize or Make the text Bold.

Discord allows to use of Italics and Bold in their platform for chatting and publishing posts. You can use -
I. For Italics: Put your words or sentences in between *.
E.g, *Hello* will turn into the word Hello.
II. For Bold: Put your words or sentences in between **.
E.g, **Hello** will turn into the word Hello

If you're trying to Italicize the text on Google Keep, then you should try the following steps:
- Open Google Keep note
- There you'll find the Underlined A option on top of the keyboard
- Select B to Bold and I to Italicize the Note text
How do you type in Italics or Bold on WhatsApp?
If you've changed your smartphone's font into Italics, it will only be visible on your smartphone. You can't send your text message in Italics on WhatsApp.
Way 1: Use Astrek, and Underline manually
To send a WhatsApp message with Italics, you've typed '_' before and after the word or sentence, e.g. _Italics_ will result in Italics.
Just like Italics, you can type Bold letters with a '*' character, just put it before and after the word. e.g. *BOLD* will result in BOLD.
Way 2: Use GBoard options
There's another way to make text Bold or Italics. You'll need GBoard as your default keyboard set on your Android device.
Then just type anything in the chat textbox. Press and hold the text you typed. It will show some options like Cut, Copy, Paste, Bold, Italics, etc.
Select Bold or Italics as per your need and send the text. It will get converted to Bold, or Italics as per the option you've chosen.

How do you type in Italics on Instagram?
If you're from those seeking an Italics option on Instagram, then there is bad news for you. Instagram doesn't have such an option that will make text Bold or Italics.
You'll need to generate italics from the online Italic text generator tool, and then you can use or Type that generated Italics in the Instagram story, Post, Reel description, etc.

How to Italicize emojis on android?
Italicizing the emojis doesn't make sense, but you can download Font Emoji packs.
1. Use zFont on your Android device and apply the Emoji pack which is slightly tilted like Italic letters.

Your emojis will also get tilted or we can say Italicized!
