increase speed of website with these PRO Tips!

How to increase speed of website to rank fast? The loading speed of the website is the crucial point in improving SEO and Google Page ranking because low website loading speed affects SEO and webpage's google ranking.

If you also want to increase the speed of a website, even you have a WordPress website or blogger website. I'll explain each and every point like themes, plugins, and which factors affecting your website's loading speed.

You'll need to check your website's speed and you have analyzed it before further steps. Here we will use GTmetrix and Google PageSpeed Insights.

Choose Best Web Hosting

First of all, if your web hosting server speed capability is very low then do whatever you want, you will not achieve your aim. That means your server speed is low then it will deliver the resources at less speed as compared to the High configuration hosting server.

That why hosting is the most important thing to increase speed of website because your hosting is being hosted on that server. Cloud hosting is considered a good hosting option rather than shared hosting.

Because in shared web hosting we use the server which is hosting more than 1 website. So here, each website loads its own resources from the same server and it slows down the server speed. This all results in a slow loading speed of the website.

While in cloud web hosting, your website runs on a server that is providing resources only to your website and that will help to increase speed of website.

Use light themes

Another most important factor in website optimization is choosing the best and fast theme. The more light-weight theme you will use, the more speed you get and your website will load fast.

Because lightweight themes use less Javascript and CSS. So, the website will fetch less no. of resources files from the server, and the server will take less time to load your website resource files and it will help to increase the loading speed of website.

Uninstall unwanted plugins

Increase speed of website - Uninstall unwanted plugins

Go to the Plugins section(if you are using WordPress) and Uninstall plugins that you can't use. One WordPress blog has a max of 63 plugins and this plugin makes your website slow.

Disable auto-update of plugins because it uses your server speed even when it is not updating.

Sometimes we add plugins/add-ons like notification plugins, subscribe buttons, and cards to our website, this also lowers the speed of a website.

Try to use minimum plugins on your website, because that creates a big impact on website speed and performance.

Remove the unwanted resources (like JS, CSS)

Delete unnecessary resource files like Javascript and CSS which also loads when the website loads from a server and it affects loading speed. Maximize usage of Javascript extension and add-ons which are accessed by JS and CSS CDN through the link.

Remove Javascript functions code that is not usable and also removes extra CSS style sheets that aren't required. This will help to decrease the web page size because small-sized web pages load fast.

Use Image Optimization techniques

Increase speed of website - Image optimization techniques

Next, We have to use some optimization techniques to decrease the image size which increases the loading speed of website. Use image optimization tools like Squoosh and shortpixel.

Squoosh is an open-source image optimization tool project developed and managed by Google Chrome Labs. Shortpixel is also an image optimization and compression tool which compresses an image up to 90% of its size without losing original quality.

1-2 MB images take a lot of time to load. Here we can use image compression tools to optimize images for the website. JPEG or JPG file format images load very slow, so we can convert it to Next-gen image formats like WEBP, JPEG 2000, or JPEG XR.

The average loading speed of the Next-gen image file type image is very high as compared to normal. Most of the famous Bloggers, SEO Experts and website prefer Next-gen image formats for blog posts.

Use GTmetrix and Google PageSpeed Insights

Generally, I use Google's PageSpeed Insights, but it doesn't give more detailed information about issues that are impacting our webpage speed. It only shows the data which is related to server response.

But, GTmetrix is a tool that provides detailed information about your website page speed and loading time. GTmetrix analyses your website and provides you a detailed reason for the issue which is decreasing website performance.

We have to check those results which GTmetrix provides after website analysis, and take the right action on it.

Do a speed check manually

Sometimes, Web page speed analysis tools like GTmetrix and Google PagSpeed Insights provides you website 'Full page load time' is very high. But we have to check it manually, is it really affecting the user experience.

We have to cross-check the speed of the website. Because sometimes those speed analysis tools calculate loading time until website loading stops. Do manual checkup of website speed.

Because the loading speed of the website doesn't directly affect your website's Google ranking. Google does not measure your website speed. But, it analyses how the user reacts when the user visits your website. After that Google gives a ranking to your post or website.

So, check that speed of a website is impacting your user experience or not? and confirm that is your website speed is reachable with average loading speed? and make changes accordingly.
